This is one of two paintings commissioned by a friend. Afternoon is intended to convey late afternoon effects of light and the deepening blue of the late afternoon sky. Painting the louvered blinds made me wonder why I didn't ask for them to be raised!
Botelho's Bay Grape | Not Availale | 24" x 64"
This is the largest single canvas I have produced to date. I found it a challenge as it overwhelmed my usual inclined work surface. I had to work on the center parts of the canvas first, and then moved the painting to a table so I could develop the edges as I usually do. After making a number of design changes during its development, I am satisfied with the final composition as I think it has a good balance of leaf size and colour distributed throughout the image.

This is a commission done for a friend who loves colourful bay grape leaves.
The Reefs | Not Available | 24" x 36"
A commission for a couple who had honeymooned at The Reefs, and aproached me during an anniversary visit to the hotel.

Produced as a commission for a work colleague. She liked seeing this view of the house as she came back home at any time of the day.

This was developed as a generic Bermuda view using a number of views of the roofline of The Reefs Hotel before its expansion.

This was painted to cover over a Square D fuse panel in my home.

This is one of two paintings commissioned by a friend. I am very pleased with the outcome of this painting. I like the perspective of the shutter, and how you can see a view through the slats. I also like the depiction of reflected light in the shadow on the wall.
